The US Census Bureau released numbers showing that North Dakota showed the greatest growth in residential construction from 2008 to 2009. Read articles about both the Fargo and Grand Forks perspectives.
Paul Tosto at Minnesota Public Radio has cited an increase in the number of construction jobs in North Dakota in opposition to tough economic times for contractors in Minnesota based on a report from the Associated General Contractors of America.
Time Magazine has published an article about Bismarck and North Dakota in general entitled The Town the Recession Missed. The article mentions the strength of Bismarck’s housing market and the low unemployment rate that North Dakota has enjoyed in contrast with most of the nation.
